in the silence

in the silence, i want to speal to Thee
and even in the confusion, You wanted to speak to me
and i asked if i had to wait
and You said, sit still, my child and know that i am God

i find it hard to acknowledge You are Lord
when i go on with life making decisions
hurriedly and without Your wisdom
i am fallen, broken, wothout You working in mylife

overwhelm me, Father, take over my will
for i know Your plans are far better than mine
i offer now a little rhyme
that in my life Your name shall shine

i plead that everyday may be
a special day because You're with me
the emptiness and ordariness of our time
may be overcome by Your greatness alone

in the silence i know You're by me always
then i'll never fear of what i don't know
for in You is my blessed assurance
You'll reign supreme till the end of days.
